I'm not all that conversant with all the bells and whistles of the internet. In recent months though, I have probably looked at a few thousand blogs, and over a longer period, I have contributed about a thousand posts to a worthwhile health forum.
Clearly, it is a problem that the net IS mostly shit. On the forum that I participate in for example, very few of the participants do any intellectual heavy lifting at all. Even so, the forum was and is a catalyst for me. And by and large, they received my often iconoclastic remarks with considerable enthusiasm.
And actually, it was the high volume of individuals who were posting patent nonsense that inspired me to put up a blog which draws a more thoughtful crowd and encourages additional rigor in the development of creativity and the solutions of serious proplems.
I have not done anything really to increase my random readership, but so far I am satisfied with the response.
My random stumbling into your blog occurred because of the title Cognitive Dissonance. Although the stacking of jelly conainers did not really command my rapt attention, it is clear that you think with a certain cultivated precision and that you could pull your own weight in a dialogue.
It is my hope that you and I and others of our sort can change some of the shit into valuable fertilizer. With it, we may be able to grow the rationality that we need if we are to overcome the ever increasing disasters we face and survive as a species into the distant future.
